Introduction Letter/Open House

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new school year! I hope you enjoyed your summer vacation. I would like to take a few moments to introduce myself. My name is Elaine Kiley and I will be your child's teacher this school year. This is my first year teaching, and my first year at Kemp Elementary. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University. My background with teaching involves volunteering in different classrooms in elementary schools in Cobb and Fulton County through high school and college. I had been a nanny for seven years for the same family whose children are the ages of 7, 5, and 2. I also worked for a daycare in East Cobb, and during the summer in high school, I spent my summers working with kids in Vacation Bible Schools and camps. Teaching children is my passion and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher!

 

As an educator, I value my job and the opportunity that I will have to teach your child the requirements he/she will need to complete by the end of this school year successfully. I want your child to feel at home in my classroom, and to know that he/she has the opportunity to venture out and explore academically in a safe environment. Your child’s success in my classroom is my number one priority.

I am very excited about what this year has in store for all of us! Please know that I am a firm believer in open communication, and I will do my best to keep you informed. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your child in my classroom.
