Last School Store

SCHOOL STORE

The last school store will be Friday, May 15th from 7:15 am - 7:45 am. We will be having a clearance sell - all school supplies will be 25 cents each! There will also be fresh popped popcorn for sell for 50 cents a bag. Selected spirit-wear will be available at deep discounts during this store event also!

Yearbooks are here!

There are extra yearbooks to be sold on Monday morning, May 11th at 7:15 am in the front lobby. The price is $30 CASH ONLY. There are approximately 30 yearbooks left to sell. First come, first serve only!

 CONGRATULATIONS TO ELLIE BURGY, SARAH HAYES FARLEY AND SAVANNAH GADSDEN FOR EARNING THE MOST GOLD BEADS IN THIS YEAR'S SPRING TRAINING!!!!  THEY HAVE EARNED THE MCDONALD'S LUNCH THIS FRIDAY.  WAY TO GO ALLSTARS! 

CRCT TESTING for 2nd is April 21st-23rd

CRCT TESTING is Tuesday, April 21st - Monday, April 27th. The test will be administered each day from 8:00 - 11:00. 1st and 2nd grade students will only be tested April 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. Make up test will be administered April 29th and 30th. During this critical testing window parent volunteers will not be allowed to work in the building until after 11:00. Students need to be at school on time during the testing window. If a student is tardy they will have to wait in the office until the testing session is over and then be administered the section of the test they missed during one of the make up sessions. THANK YOU for your help and support.

Hartley Boys and Girls in training..  I think you all are doing an incredible job in your spring training!  When our "opening day" is here, you will be so ready for that first pitch!!! (translation: CRCT testing week)  If you read this message, come tell me the secret word: Baseball

  For May 5, 2009 at 7:00 against the New York Mets!!!  Our own Kemp Chorus will be singing the National Anthem at that game! Just send in your yellow form to reserve your tickets.  The cost is 5 dollars so hurry and be a part of Kemp history!!!

Boosterthon

Hartley Parents!
The Kemp Foundation needs at least one BOOSTERTHON PARENT CHEERLEADER from each homeroom. These cheerleaders will need to be present at the Boosterthon Pep Rally on March 18th and the FUN RUN on March 26th and will be asked to communicate via email to the rest of your team's parents.

It's been a great week!

Thank you Hartley Students and Parents for an amazing week of Student Led Conferences! 

I can't beleve that we are now over half way through the school year.  I am reminded of this wonderful class of second graders!  I feel so blessed to have the opportunity teach each and every one of your precious children!   Thank you for sharing your children with me this year!

CRCT Winter OAS Challenge

Hartley Students and Parents!

I've add a bunch of "teacher-made" CRCT practice tests to take!  Just click on the "teacher assigned test" icon:)  If you need any assistance, just send me an email.  We have students that have taken over 30 tests for far!!!  The GOLD BEADS are going fast!!!  Keep up the good work

The Inauguration of Our New President!

 We've had an exciting day and one that these children will look back and remember where they were when this historic day took place...watching the inauguration of our 44th president in their 2nd grade class.  We also wrote, "If I Were President", we learned some interesting facts about our new president, wrote an OBAMA acrostic poem, made a "tear art" Obama and even had special cupcakes brought in by Mrs. Gadsden!  We are proud and patriotic in Hartley's room!

I am holding Student Led Conferences this year! Your child is invited to his/her conference where they will share their portfolio and discuss their goals for this year. Parent letter and conference time will come home this Wednesday.
